This study day aims to present the research work in progress within the school (on art, in art, through art). It is also designed as a platform for exchanges promoting encounters and dialogue by giving the floor to different researchers who are sometimes dispersed in the school: students, teachers, doctoral students, etc.
The form of the day intentionally disturbs the academic model by opening up to several devices: presentation, feedback, round table, debate, projection, exhibition, performance, etc. In the same spirit, the content of the exchanges is not limited to the objective presentation of the intentions or conclusions of a research, but concerns just as much the subjective reflection on the challenges of the research, the situations experienced both intellectually and material, the pragmatic conditions for presenting the results of research, the balance of power with the university model, etc.
After an introduction by the director of the school and the research coordinator, the morning is devoted to end-of-study dissertations for the In-Depth Focus and Doctorates in Art and Art Sciences, both from the point of view of dissertations and doctoral students as well as research supervisors.
After a presentation of the asbl a/r art recherche, and of the FRArt/Fonds de recherche en art by the director of the school and a representative of a/r, the afternoon is devoted to the post-memory and doctorate, as well as other research formats developed within or from the school.
