The research project entitled The Art of Being Sick emerges from the artist’s own experience with an autoimmune disease. It is part of the medical humanities: an interdisciplinary approach to medicine that focuses on patient subjectivity and enriches caregiver-patient relationships through art, philosophy, and social sciences. The proposal is based on a critique of cultural representations of illness. From 2025 to 2027, the project will combine artistic experiments and workshops with the medical world, the idea being to bring different audiences together around theatrical proposals. It is part of a reflection on the aesthetics of illness, combining art and social engagement.
