FRART Archetypes of Space in Sound

FRART Archetypes of Space in Sound1. Introduction

  • ref: /DOC-7495

The project investigates in depth the relationship between sound and space, focusing on the perception of spatial archetypal forms through electronic compositions, sound installations, and immersive performances. The research combines compositional experimentation, the use of various spatialization techniques, and studies on psychoacoustic effects, exploring how sound can evoke universal spatial structures perceptible through the listener’s sensory experience, stimulating memory, intuition, and immediate perception.

The concept of spatial archetype refers to fundamental forms or universal models of spatial organization present in human perception. In this context, sound becomes a living, shaping material, capable of actively molding space and transforming the listener’s experience into an authentic process of co-creation.
