The objective and challenge of my research is to represent the abilities of people said to be "intellectually disabled" without neutralizing or denying the identity markers of otherness or associating them with "deficiency". It is about looking for ways to represent "disability" without inducing a comparison and a hierarchy, to represent the otherness of people in a situation of being stigmatized without representing the stigma so as not to perpetuate it.

The research project is deployed along three main axes. All three intend to prove the potential for extraordinary abilities of people with intellectual disabilities to whom my research wishes to give a stage reality. And this, with a particular focus on Williams and Beuren syndrome, also called « Elfe syndrome ». It will firstly be a question of proving, through a theater of the absurd, the intelligence of these people by reflecting on their singularity and their complementarity with regard to the generative language tools of A.I. which have particularly developed in 2023. Then, we will look at the potential genetic origin of Williams syndrome in the mythology of elves and elves whose representation is associated with extraordinary abilities. We will rely on the Shakespearean character of Puck. And finally, we will question, through dystopia, the eugenic consequences of taking charge of pre-implantation and pre-natal NIPT tests in a productivist society which seeks to give birth to the most "normal" children possible. A final part of the project consists of sharing the research with the students and the teaching team of INSAS - the main ESA supporting my application - and that of the video trace left to perpetuate the work.
