"Incest Research" is a theatrical exploration led by an incest victim and a non-incest victim.
The co-authors start from the postulate that their artistic union can create a space allowing, through the means of theater, to explore the taboo of silence governing the practice of incest.

The co-authors, accompanied by different collaborators, will rely on theoretical readings, archival collections, on-set research in order to make the intimate a political subject. The challenge of this research aims to invent emancipatory theatrical forms by inviting profound changes in the way of playing, staging and thinking about relationships of domination and their mode of representation.

This research project is structured around two main axes:

• How to create theater from an intimate story, or what are the means to explore the necessary distance to maintain with your object of study ?
• How to create theater from a taboo, from a collective unthought ?

The project is part of a desire to rethink the forms, stories, languages and relationships with bodies used on a theater stage, in order to invent tools to "account" for the silence that governs incest and therefore our society.
