New clothes of colportage is a multidisciplinary research that focuses on and questions the modalities and forms of the infra-structures of sharing that constitute the shadow libraries. Anchored in the context of digital practices, the issues raised are mainly those of the archive, copyright and access to knowledge, the commons, and copying as artistic production.
By activating a sensitive observatory of practices via situated practical experiments, the collective will attempt to participate in the aesthetics of the common through itinerant investigation.
We will borrow the figure of the colporteur as a metaphor for networking and disseminating particular knowledge in the digital age.
