Rodrigo Evangelista

Rodrigo Evangelista (Buenos Aires, 1991) is a pianist, researcher, and educator.
He holds a master’s degree in music (Piano) from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires and is currently pursuing a Specialized Master’s in Piano Chamber Music at the Royal Conservatory of Liège as well as an Advanced Master in Contemporary Music at KASK & Conservatorium Gent. Until 2024, he served as Academic Secretary and Assistant Professor of Piano at UNA, conductor and pianist of the Magma Ensemble, accompanist at the Juan Pedro Esnaola School of Music, and coordinator of artistic and academic projects. He directed and coordinated the IVth Latin American Meeting on Music, Gender, and Diversity (2024), Situated Musics (2024), Chairs in Concert (2024), Silence, Hospital! (2023-2024), the November is Music festival (2023), and the Intermúsicas festival (2022). As a performer, he has played with the Labyrinth Project, the Anubis Ensemble, and the Magma Ensemble, participated in Jordi Mora’s Music Phenomenology Campus, contributed to projects such as The Forgotten Generations and Piano and Electroacoustics, and was a pianist at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestral Academy (2017).
In research, he was a member of the scientific committee of the III International Arts Congress Art’s Uprisings (2023) and did presentations at the Argentine Congress of Musicology (2020) and the IX UNA Researchers’ Conference (2019). From 2020 to 2022, he participated in projects on electroacoustics in piano performance, audience analysis in live academic music, and the historical study The National Conservatory of 1888. From 2015 to 2017, he was a student researcher in the project Integration of Piano Performance and New Technologies, focused on the creative use of digital resources in performance.
