Ethann Néon

Ethann Néon is a Belgian artist. Having studied animated film in Brussels, he pursued a variety of other artistic practices, including video, printmaking, installation and digital art. He has made several films, including Wavewidth (2023), 1 MTH/MIN (2021) and Human Walkers in Motion (2020). These films have been selected for over a hundred festivals around the world, including the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. He then went to Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains, where he created Blinkity Black (2024) in collaboration with Scalab, a laboratory at Lille University. He also created the interactive installation Le Stréphochronoscope (2024) in partnership with IRCAM Centre Pompidou. His experimental works focus on notions of space-time, visual loss, and media archaeology in expanded animation forms. His current practice focus on haptics in art and the depiction of time in animation.
