Catherine David

Catherine David is the deputy director of the Centre Pompidou National Museum of Modern Art and lives in Paris. From 1982-1994, she was a curator of the National Museum of Modern Art at the Centre Pompidou and at the National Gallery Jeu de Paume, in Paris. Catherine David was also the artistic director of documentaX in Kassel from 1994-1997. She then directed the Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam, where she initiated the project Contemporary Arab Representations. In 1998 she received the Bard Award for curatorial excellence in New York. She recently curated the exhibitions Unedited History.
